1.18 Bullet और Cartridge में अंतर
Bullet: projectile का वह भाग जो target की ओर जाता है।
Cartridge: ammunition का complete unit जिसमें case और projectile आदि components होते हैं।
1.19 Rimmed Ammunition
Rimmed cartridge के base पर बाहर निकला हुआ rim होता है। Extraction में extractor उस rim को engage करता है।

Rimless cartridge में prominent projecting rim नहीं होता; base के पास extractor groove होता है।

2.1 Handling का परिचय
WT-2 में Point .22 Rifle की handling, stripping & assembly और firing positions शामिल हैं।
2.2 Handling का अर्थ
Handling केवल rifle पकड़ना नहीं है। इसमें weapon familiarisation, safe handling, firing-position awareness और authorised training activities शामिल हैं।

2.4 Command का महत्व
Loading, cocking और unloading जैसी actions केवल proper authorised command/order पर की जाती हैं।

2.6 Stripping & Assembly
इसका उद्देश्य weapon familiarisation, cleaning/maintenance awareness और authorised training है।
2.7 Actual Stripping/Assembly
यह instructor-led practical skill है। Exact mechanical sequence केवल supervised practical training में करना चाहिए।
2.8 Firing Positions
WT-2 में firing positions का training component है। पुराने official material में lying position, holding और aiming भी अलग lesson के रूप में मिलते हैं।

2.9 Lying/Prone Position
Lying/prone position में cadet ground के करीब रहता है और rifle को stable firing position में रखने का अभ्यास करता है।
2.10 Position का महत्व
Consistent firing position body movement कम करने, aiming consistency बढ़ाने, shot grouping सुधारने और repeatability में मदद करती है।
2.11 Aiming
Aiming का उद्देश्य sights को target के साथ सही relationship में रखना है।
2.12 Sight Alignment
Front sight और rear sight की सही alignment को sight alignment कहा जाता है।
2.13 Sight Picture
Properly aligned sights का intended target के साथ सही relationship sight picture है।

2.14 Trigger Control
Firing के समय unnecessary disturbance कम करना और consistency बनाए रखना trigger control का मुख्य उद्देश्य है।

3.2 Cycle of Operation — Concept
Conceptually: cartridge positioning → chambering/closing → firing → extraction/ejection → preparation for next cycle . Actual manipulation instructor-led होना चाहिए।
3.3 Internal Ballistics
Barrel के अंदर firing के दौरान projectile की movement का अध्ययन Internal Ballistics कहलाता है।
3.4 External Ballistics
Projectile के barrel से निकलने के बाद उसके flight/path का अध्ययन External Ballistics कहलाता है।
3.5 Terminal Ballistics
Projectile के target/impact के समय उसके behaviour/effect का अध्ययन Terminal Ballistics कहलाता है।

Projectile पर gravity और aerodynamic effects जैसे factors प्रभाव डालते हैं, इसलिए trajectory ideal straight line नहीं रहती।

4.2 Precision और Accuracy
Shots एक-दूसरे के कितने close हैं।

4.3 Master Eye
Master/dominant eye वह eye है जो aiming के दौरान naturally dominant visual alignment प्रदान करती है।
4.4 Sight Alignment & Grouping
Consistent sight alignment में variation shots के spread को प्रभावित कर सकती है।
4.5 Sight Picture & Grouping
यदि sight picture बार-बार बदलती है, तो shots में variation बढ़ सकती है।
4.6 Mean Point of Impact — MPI
Group के shots के overall central/mean location को Mean Point of Impact (MPI) कहा जाता है।
4.7 Five-Shot Group
Group analysis में पाँच shots के group का central point MPI concept को समझाने के लिए उपयोग किया जाता है।
4.8 Grouping Capacity
Firer की shots को relatively consistent group में रखने की क्षमता को grouping capacity कहा जाता है।

5.1 Range का परिचय
Range वह authorised training area है जहाँ supervised firing practice conducted होती है।
5.2 Range Discipline
- Instructor की commands follow करें
- Firing area में discipline रखें
- Authorised position पर रहें
- बिना आदेश कोई firing-related action न करें
- Safety instructions follow करें
5.3 Range Safety
- Treat every firearm as potentially loaded.
- Never point the firearm at anything you do not intend to engage.
- Instructor/range commands follow करें।
- Trigger finger को trigger से दूर रखें जब तक instructed/ready न हों।
- Cease Fire command को तुरंत obey करें।
5.4 Cease Fire
Cease Fire का अर्थ firing activity को तुरंत रोकना है और अगली safety instruction follow करनी है।

5.6 Ammunition Control

5.8 Range Commands
Commands सभी cadets के actions को synchronise और safe रखने के लिए होती हैं।

6.1 Short Range Firing
WT-6 short range firing से संबंधित है और controlled range environment में basic firing/marksmanship skills practice कराने के लिए है।

6.3 25-Yard Training
NCC .22 Rifle specification में effective range 25 yards / 23 metres दी गई है। पुराने NCC training material में short-range practice के लिए 25-yard range का उल्लेख भी मिलता है।
6.4 Deliberate Firing
Deliberate firing में controlled और carefully aimed shots पर focus होता है।
6.5 Supported Position
Older NCC short-range training material में lying supported position का उल्लेख मिलता है।
6.6 Target & Scoring
Different NCC editions में target dimensions, scoring pattern और authorised rounds की presentation अलग मिल सकती है। इसलिए इन figures को आपकी unit/ANO के current prescribed training document से match करना चाहिए।
6.7 Point of Aim — POA
वह point जिसे firer target पर aim करता है।
6.8 Point of Impact — POI
वह location जहाँ projectile target पर वास्तव में impact करता है।

6.11 Sight Setting का उद्देश्य
Authorised sight adjustment का उद्देश्य POI को desired relationship में लाना है। Actual adjustment procedure rifle-specific है और instructor से ही सीखना चाहिए।
6.12 Firing → Group → Analysis → Improvement
Short-range practice में group देखकर firer की consistency और errors का assessment किया जाता है।
